HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The Marshall-Miami (Ohio) football game on Aug. 30 at Yager Stadium in Oxford, Ohio, has been set for 3:30 p.m. and will air on ESPN3.com, ESPN announced Friday morning.

The game is the season opener for both teams and the start of Herd Coach Doc Holliday’s fifth season at Marshall.

The game will be a rematch of last season’s 52-14 season-opening Thundering Herd victory in Huntington. In that contest, Marshall scored 38 unanswered points in the second half to break a 14-14 halftime tie. Marshall quarterback Rakeem Cato tossed five touchdowns on 22-of-34 passing for 253 yards with no interceptions. The Herd also rushed for 304 yards, with Steward Butler’s 107 leading the way. The Marshall defense yielded just nine first downs and only two in the second half.

Friday’s announcement gives the Herd at least seven televised games in 2014.
