June 13, 2006
MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Wildcats and Thundering Herd will play the rubber match of their three-game contract on Sept. 16 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, and like the previous two games, the 2006 edition will also be televised. Fox Sports Net, which televised the 2003 meeting in Manhattan, will air this year's game at 11:30 a.m. CST. Last year's match-up in Huntington, W.Va., was televised nationally on ESPN2.
The announcement was made Tuesday by Big 12 and Kansas State Athletics Department officials.
The Herd won in its previous visit to Manhattan, knocking off the sixth-ranked Wildcats, 27-20 on September 20, 2003. Kansas State won last year in Huntington, 21-19, on September 10.
