HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The current Marshall-Ohio football series, scheduled to end after a Sept. 12, 2015 date at the Bobcats’ Peden Stadium, will resume in 2019 and 2020, the two schools announced Monday.

The Herd will host Ohio on Sept. 14, 2019, and return the game in Athens the following season on Sept. 19.

From 1985-2010, the Herd won 12 of the 14 meetings in the series, but the Bobcats have taken the last three, including the last two by a field goal.

The two schools will meet in Huntington this season on Saturday, Sept. 13 at noon on Marshall’s Hall of Fame Weekend in a contest that will televised on CBS Sports Network. This season’s game is the 58th in the series, the most-played in Herd football history.
