Marshall-Western Carolina Football Game to be Televised by Fox College Sports|

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The Sept. 8 Marshall-Western Carolina football game has been moved to 7 p.m. ET and will now be televised by Fox College Sports, the Conference USA office announced Friday.
The game, originally scheduled at 6:30 p.m., is the eighth to be announced for telecast on Marshall’s 2012 schedule.
FCS is available to approximately 68 million homes and is seen by viewers in the nation’s 25 largest cities, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas and Atlanta, Houston, Seattle, Minneapolis and Tampa. Key MSO partners include Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Cox Communications, Cablevision Systems, Mediacom Communications, and Cable One.
The game will be first between the two schools in 16 years. The former Southern Conference foes met annually from 1977-1996, with the all-time series tied at 9-9-2. However, Marshall has won nine of the past 10 games, including the final three meetings by an average score of 45-13.
The Herd opens the season on Saturday, Sept. 1 at West Virginia.
