Huntington Quarterback Club Huddles Up
Dear QB Club Members,
It may not feel like fall outside, but the 2017 Herd football season is about to kick off!
There is a change for all Huntington QB Club members who want to hear Coach Doc Holliday's take on each game this season. Our weekly QB Club luncheons are moving to a new time and a new place.
Beginning Thursday, August 31, the QB Club Huddle will hold its first get together at Fat Patty's in Huntington at 6:30 pm. The QB Club Huddle will precede the Doc Holliday Radio Show. Holliday's show is set for 7 p.m. on most Thursdays. A pair of road football games scheduled for Friday night, as well as basketball conflicts, will alter the schedule occasionally (see below).
This is a change from the QB Club Luncheon schedule of the past. There will not be weekly lunchtime meetings. QB Club members are encouraged to attend the QB Club Huddle get-togethers at Fat Patty's, where members will receive reserved seating, free appetizers and drink specials.
The evening will kick off with "Inside Herd Athletics with Mike Hamrick" at 6 p.m. That show features ninth-year Marshall athletic director Mike Hamrick, Kindred Communications' Mike Kirtner and Reeves Kirtner, along with MU assistant athletic director Chuck McGill, who writes for HerdZone.com and produces Thundering Herd Illustrated. "Inside Herd Athletics with Mike Hamrick" will air on ESPN 94.1 FM, AM 930 and 1340 from 6-7 p.m., and the show's content will cover the world of collegiate athletics.
The Doc Holliday Radio Show, hosted by 11-time Sportscaster of the Year Steve Cotton, will follow from 7-8 p.m. The Doc Holliday Radio Show will air on the Thundering Herd IMG Sports Network and the aforementioned stations, in addition to 93.7 FM The Dawg. Holliday's show will feature all of that week's storylines and offer fans a chance to ask the Thundering Herd's football coach questions. Fans are encouraged to send inquiries via the social media website Twitter to @HerdCotton.
