The Marshall University football team will make a rare trip into Big Ten country this Saturday when it travels to Madsion, Wisconsin to face the 11th-ranked University of Wisconsin Badgers. Kickoff is scheduled for Noon (ET) and the game will be televised by the Big Ten Network.

Marshall will make its first trip ever to historic Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday. The game at Wisconsin will also mark on the third time Marshall has faced a Big Ten opponent in football. Marshall is 0-2 all-time against Big Ten teams. The Thundering Herd lost a 34-24 contest at Michigan State in 2000 and suffered a 24-21 setback at Ohio State in 2004.

Marshall is off to a 1-0 start following Saturday's 35-10 win over Illinois State. The Thundering Herd was led by sophomore running back Darius Marshall who rushed for a career-high 115 yards and a score. Redshirt-freshman quarterback Mark Cann was 11-of-22 with two touchdown passes on the day. Both of those scoring strikes were to senior wide receiver Darius Passmore who grabbed four passes for 111 yards, including an 88-yard touchdown reception and a 13-yard TD catch.

Defensively, Marshall limited Illinois State to only 10 points and a mere 98 yards rushing for the contest.

The Thundering Herd will be facing a deep and talented Badger team that features one of the top rushing attacks in all of college football. The 11th-ranked Badgers are led by junior running back P.J. Hill who rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns in Wisconsin's 38-17 season-opening win over Akron.

Wisconsin also boasts one of the best home field advantages in the country. UW has won 15 consecutive games at Camp Randall Stadium, which is the second-longest current streak in major college football (Oklahoma has won 18 straight).

Matt Devilin will handle play by play, Charles Davis will serve as analyst and Charissa Thompson will serve as the sideline report on the Big Ten Network telecast which is available through Dish Network and Direct TV (Check your local cable listings for availability in your area). The audio from the Thundering Herd/ISP Network radio broadcast featuring Steve Cotton, Greg Cyrus and Rocky Smith will be available to all-access subscribers on in addition to the over-the-air radio network.
