Marshall Hosts Kansas State Saturday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University will host Kansas State University in a historic 10:30 a.m. contest on Saturday and several promotions are planned for the game.

The game has been declared "Bobby Pruett" Day and a special on field presentation featuring the former coach will be made prior to kickoff. Marshall College Football Hall of Fame inductee Mike Barber will also be saluted during the game.

In addition to honoring two Marshall football greats fans will be treated to a couple of give aways.

ESPN and Adelphia will be giving away 10,000 t-shirts at the game. In addition to this, St. Mary's Medical Center and Blue Cross/Blue Shield will be giving away 20,000 cheerstix.

The 10:30 a.m. contest will be televised nationally by ESPN2 and the largest crowd in Marshall history is expected.

Stadium parking lots will open at 6:30 a.m. and general ticket will call will open at 7:30 a.m. at the stadium on Saturday due to the early kickoff.
