IRVING, Texas -
College Sports Television has announced that it has added the SMU at Marshall football game this Saturday, October 1, to its national television schedule. In order to accommodate the national cable broadcast, the kickoff time is being moved up one half hour to 4:00 p.m. EDT.
The addition of this contest creates a Conference USA back-to-back doubleheader. Following the SMU-Marshall contest, UTEP visits Memphis for an 8:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. CDT kickoff.
"This is great news for Conference USA and we hope that our fans around the country will enjoy an exciting doubleheader of C-USA football on CSTV this Saturday," said Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky.
The game will still be available online through the Conference USA "All-Access" broadband package but will move from pay-per-view to CSTV.
In SMU's last appearance on CSTV, the Mustangs defeated nationally-ranked TCU, 21-10 for the program's first victory over a ranked team since 1986. This will be Marshall's first national appearance on CSTV this season. Saturday afternoon's meeting will be the first ever between the teams.
