Marshall's Vinny Curry Named Midseason All-America by SI.com|

Marshall University junior defensive end Vinny Curry was named a first-team midseason All-American by SI.com on Wednesday. The Thundering Herd standout also earned third-team midseason All-America recognition from Phil Steele Publications, along with teammate Mario Harvey who earned fourth-team honors at linebacker.
Curry, a native of Neptune, N.J., currently ranks third nationally in sacks with eight and is seventh nationally in tackles for loss with a 1.92 per game average. He has 59 total tackles this season with 11.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks and two forced fumbles.
Harvey, a native of Forsyth, Ga., is tied for third in the nation in tackles per game with a 12.17 tackles per game average. Overall he has 73 total tackles and four sacks this season.
Curry and Harvey will lead the Thundering Herd into a key game at Conference USA East Division leader East Carolina on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. The game will be televised by CSS throughout the Southeast and also be shown on WSAZ in the Charleston/Huntington, W.Va. market.
