HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University Director of Marketing and Promotions Isaiah Childers is braving the elements and calling on Herd fans to buy their tickets now for Tuesday night's Conference USA football clash between Southern Miss and Marshall. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Joan C. Edwards Stadium and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN2.
"I am going to be camping out on the roof of the stadium until our fans mobilize," Childers said. "We have a key battle with Southern Miss on Tuesday night and the Herd needs all of our fans from near and far to fill the stadium and give our team a boisterous and loud 12th man. I am not coming down until our fans get me down from here."
Childers will ascend to the top of the stadium pressbox on Saturday evening and he will not come down until 7,500 additional tickets have been sold for Tuesday's game.
