Herd Fans Have Many Reasons To Be Excited
First 2,000 At Miami Game To Receive Pruett Bobble Head
With a national television audience looking on and Mid-American Conference Championship hopes on the line, the Marshall Thundering Herd is set to take on the Miami RedHawks in a rare Tuesday night game, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
As if the chance to see the top two teams in the MAC East Division square off for a berth in the MAC Championship game isn't enough, fans will have plenty more reasons to attend Tuesday night's game. In addition to a nationally televised home game for the Herd, McDonald's and WDGG 93.7 The Dawg are giving Herd fans 2,000 reasons to come see Marshall take on Miami.
The first 2,000 fans in the gate at Tuesday's game will receive a limited edition Coach Bobby Pruett bobble head doll for free. If you are not fortunate enough to get your free Pruett bobble head doll at the game, they will be available for purchase at participating area McDonald's restaurants.
Cabell-Huntington Hospital will also be distributing pom poms to the first 5,000 fans in attendance at Tuesday's game.
Tickets are also already available for the Herdzone section of Marshall Stadium can be purchased for just $12 and can be purchased now.
In order to accommodate fans for the midweek clash of MAC East rivals, the Marshall Stadium Box Office will be open with extended hours from now until kickoff on Tuesday. The Stadium Box Office, located at Gate A, will be open daily from Noon until 7 p.m. through game day. On Sunday, November 10, the Box Office will be open from 1-5 p.m. The Henderson Center Ticket Office will also be open on Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
The winner of Tuesday's game will take sole possession of first place in the MAC East. The MAC East Champion will host the 2002 MAC Championship game on Saturday, December 7 at 2:30 p.m. in front of an ESPN2 national television audience.
