Pinehurst Day 1 - Results

PINEHURST, N.C. – Freshman Clark Robinson (South Windsor, Conn.) shot a 5-over-par 76 to help lead the Thundering Herd men’s golf team to a fifth-place position out of a 10-team field in the first round of action at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, Sunday, in Pinehurst, N.C.

Marshall put up a combined 26-over-par 310 in the opening round at the par-71, 7,000-yard Pinehurst No. 8, 11 strokes behind Belmont, which leads the field at 15-over 299. Next is No. 50 UNCG (Golfstat.com), sitting in second at 18-over 302.

Robinson stands in a tie for 12th with five other golfers, while Tas Sipowski (Jupiter, Fla.) is in a seven-way tie for 18th with a 6-over 77.
