Robinson Shines in Day Two of Kingsmill Intercollegiate
Clark Robinson tied his career-low 66 and leads the individuals
Round Two Results
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Marshall men’s golf senior Clark Robinson put together a strong second round and climbed up eight spots to finish as the individual leader of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on a windy Monday afternoon. Marshall as a team stood pat at fifth place and finished the second round with a 21-over-par 581, a seven-stroke improvement from round one.
Robinson began the tournament with a 1-over 71 in the first round. The senior improved by five strokes to tie his career-low 4-under-par 66, as he birdied in five holes this afternoon. Robinson did his best work on Par fours, sinking two birdies and averaged 3.83 strokes on par fours this round. As it stands, Robinson has a 3-under 137.
FROM THE LEADERBOARD
Penn State jumped one spot to grab the top position from yesterday’s leader, Louisville, with a 7-over 567. Tennessee trails Penn State by three strokes and third place Louisville by six strokes. Individually, Robinson has a two-stroke lead over Penn State’s Cole Miller and Ryan Dornes, who each have a 1-under 139.

“Once again the guys played well today! I really like the way we are playing. Clark played incredible today. The course conditions were tough and the winds were swirling. Shooting a 66 was really impressive. Hopefully we show even more improvement tomorrow and work our way up the leaderboard.”
