Men's Golf Completes Second Round at Furman Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Marshall men’s golf posted a 12-over-par 300 for 13th place in an 18-team field during the second round at the Furman Intercollegiate, Saturday, in Greenville, S.C.

The Thundering Herd dropped from a tie for ninth place to 13th after a seven-stroke difference from the first round. Georgia State tied No. 10 Virginia Tech for the top position with a total of 8-under 568, after recording a tournament-best 7-under 281 day. No. 36 Kennesaw State is next in line at 6-under 570.

Senior Brain Anania (Hurricane, W.Va.) and freshman Clark Robinson (South Windsor, Conn.) tied for 16th to lead Marshall, individually, totaling even rounds of 144 through two day. Tas Sipowski (Jupiter, Fla.) and Jacob Miller (Pataskala, Ohio) both improved on the second day, both posting 5-over 77.

After the second round, Marshall stands:

Brian Anania – T16 (71-73=144)
Clark Robinson – T16 (70-74=144)
Jeremy Rogers – T45 (73-76=149)
Tas Sipowski – T97 (80-77=157)
Will Evans – 103 (79-80=159)

Jacob Miller – T101 (81-77=158)
