Marshall Concludes Action at Furman Intercollegiate

Final Results

GREENVILLE, S.C. – In the final round at the Furman Intercollegiate, Sunday, the Marshall men’s golf team recorded a 22-over-par 310 to bring its three-day total to 39-over 903, tying with Western Carolina for 14th in an 18-team field.

After tying for first place the second round, Georgia State and No. 10 Virginia Tech repeated with matching scores in the final round to co-champion the tournament, totaling 9-under 855. No. 36 Kennesaw State finished third at 2-under 862.

For the third consecutive day, senior Brian Anania (Hurricane, W.Va.) led the Herd with a team-low score of 2-over 74, recording a final total of 2-over 218. Clark Robinson (South Windsor, Conn.) and Jeremy Rogers (Buckhannon, W.Va.) completed the tournament in a tie for 42nd at 8-over 224.

At the conclusion of the final round, Marshall finished:

Brian Anania – T14 (71-73-74=218)
Clark Robinson – T42 (70-74-80=224)
Jeremy Rogers – T42 (73-76-75=224)
Tas Sipowski – T102 (80-77-82=239)
Will Evans – 105 (79-80-81=240)

Jacob Miller – 106 (81-77-83=241)



Next, the Herd will co-host the Greenbrier Invitational with Bowling Green University at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., April 14-15.
