RICHMOND, Ky. – The Marshall men’s golf team wrapped up the Raising Canes Intercollegiate hosted by Eastern Kentucky Sunday afternoon. Senior Alex Weiss finished the tournament tied for fourth overall out of 90 players.
The Thundering Herd finished tied for tenth out of 16 teams. The host team EKU won the team title and Jordan Boulton of Longwood won the individual award after shooting a 5-under 65 in the third round to take the lead.
Head Coach Matt Grobe
“We are really disappointed in the way we finished today. The guys really hit the ball pretty well but we putted poorly. We only made four birdies today as a team and we expect each player to make four birdies on their own. We have to get to work on our putting this week and we have to make more birdies moving forward.”
