Men’s Golf Closes out the Memphis Intercollegiate

Junior Alex Weiss was the Herd's top finisher tied for 18th.

CORDOVA, Tenn. – The Marshall men’s golf team finished 12th at the Memphis Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon at the Colonial Country Club.
Junior Alex Weiss was the top finisher for the Herd tied for 18th. Freshmen Cole Moore and Matt Hoffman improved by four strokes each from rounds two to three.
Little Rock won the team competition by just two strokes over Lipscomb. Little Rock ended the event at 31-over with a combined score of 895. Dawson Armstrong of Lipscomb came away with the individual title by two strokes over Nick Bienz of IUPUI.

“Today was pretty frustrating. We got off to a really bad start and then fought hard and started to play better. We were really playing some good golf and then we finished very poorly. We have to do a better job of finishing next week.”
