The Campbell Camels kept a commanding lead to hold off a surging Ball State club to take the team title. Campbell finished with a 14-stroke lead over the Cardinals. Ray Kraivixien won the individual title with a 9-under 204. Eric Edwards of George Mason and Chad Hess of Old Dominion ended the three-day event just two strokes behind Kraivixien.
Head Coach Matt Grobe
“We played a little better. We got off to a great start but we just couldn’t keep it going. We have really struggled to finish off good rounds this fall. That is something we are going to have to work on this off season. I was really proud of the effort this week. I didn’t feel like we were playing our best golf but the guys gave everything they could. We have some great kids on this team and they are a blast to coach. I can’t wait to head to Pinehurst in March and watch them all compete again.”
