Marshall 13th After Day One Of Memphis Intercollegiate

CORDOVA, Tenn.--Marshall sits in 13th place after day one of the Memphis Intercollegiate at the Colonial Country Club. The Thundering Herd missed out on the squad's Sunday practice round due to rain. The five players which comprised the Herd squad this week had never seen the course prior to the start of round one play. MU posted a 36-hole tally of 609 (307-302). Akron (293-293-586) is the team leader.

Christian Brand (seven birdies) is the top Marshall performer as he is tied for 19th (72-76-148). Nathan Kerns shot 151 (79-72) to tie for 33rd. Bosten Miller tied for 41st (78-74). Miller eagled the par-5 18th hole during his second round. South Alabama's Jack Hiluta leads the individual race (69-72-141).

Aaron Boggs (78-80-158) and Carson Schambach (82-81-163) are also in competition for the Herd during the Memphis Intercollegiate.

The tournament, which is the final event for Marshall this Fall, concludes with a 9 a.m. (Eastern) start Tuesday.
