    CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. - The Oklahoma City University Stars claimed the 2005 rendition of the El Diablo Intercollegiate Sunday by ten strokes over Texas-San Antonio. Oklahoma City finished with a team total of 896.

    The host Thundering Herd finished in 14th place out of 19 teams after shooting a final round team score of 318 to post a final score of 948.

    Freshman Chris Tipper (Parkersburg, W.Va.) led the way for Marshall, posting a final round of 76 in route to final total of 230 (78-76-76), which tied him for 26th place overall. Sophomore Shawn Warren (Windham, Maine) finished in a tie for 31st and was the next highest finisher for the Thundering Herd with a total of 231 (73-79-79). Closing out the scoring five for Marshall was Jonathan Pepe (McKeesport, Pa.) with a 244 (82-80-82, T-72), Brandon Katzeff (Uniontown, Pa.), who also carded a 244 (83-80-81, T-72), and Brad Tweel (Huntington, W.Va.), who scored a 249 (82-83-84, T-85th).

    Individually for Marshall, Matt Scytkowski (South Hadley, Mass.) finished with a 246 (77-82-87) to finish in a tie for 77th place. Trent Schambach (Glen Dale, W.Va.) tallied a 249 (81-85-83, T-85), and Mark Ashby (Vinton, Va.) carded a 251 (87-83-81, T-94) to close out Marshall's representation at the tournament.

    Jay Pannone of Rhode Island won medalist honors for the weekend, posting scores of 77,70, and 72 for a total of 219. Pannone's teammate, Kenneth Fahey, was second with a score of 220 (76-70-74). Fahey played as an individual.
