Rain Washes Out Third Round of Kepler Intercollegiate Golf Tournament

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Marshall University men’s golf team finished 17th (311-310=621) after rain ended the 33rd Robert Kepler Intercollegiate Tournament Sunday at Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course.

The results following the second round will stand as final. Lee Williamson of Purdue fired a 68 Saturday to take the tournament lead (71-68=139) and tournament medallist honors. Marshall’s top individual was senior Aaron Williams. The New Boston, Ohio, native tied for 44th at 151 after recording rounds of 73 and 78.

UNLV is the team champion at 576 (288-288) followed by Colorado (579) and Purdue (582).

Marshall will next compete in the First Energy Intercollegiate in Akron, Ohio, April 20-21.
