Men's Golf Signs Two
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University Director of Golf Joe Feaganes announced today that the men’s golf program has signed two golfers.
The two men’s recruits are Derek Hurwitch of Longmeadow, Mass. and Jeremy Graham of Danville, Pa.
Hurwitch is the 2000 Massachusetts Golf Association Junior Champion and a First-team All-Western Massachusetts pick. He was selected to represent Massachusetts in the New England Golf Association Team Championship and finished first in the Canadian Junior Golf Association-Quebec Provincial Championship and in the Ontario Junior Championship. He placed third at the AJGA Tucker Anthony and 12th at the AJGA Lessings Classic. Hurwitch boasts a 36.3 stroke average at Longmeadow High School.
“Derek is a strong player who has enjoyed success at the local, state, and national level,” Feaganes said. “He will bring experience and a solid game to our program.”
Graham, placed fourth at the Pennsylvania High School Championship and won his high school district tournament. The Danville Area High product also finished first at the North Central Pennsylvania PGA match play and at the Keystone Games Junior tournaments.
“Jeremy is a solid player who should have an immediate impact on our golf team,” Feaganes said.
