Paul Meehan begins his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Marshall University men's soccer team.
Meehan came to Marshall after two years as the Associate Coaching Director for FC Alliance in Bothell, Wash., while also coaching boys soccer at Lake Washington High School. Prior to that he was the assistant men's soccer coach at Fresno State University from 1998-99 and held the same position at Marshall from 1997-98. He began his coaching career as the head coach at Bellevue High School and held that position from 1986-1995. During that time, he also coached at the Bellevue Community College.
Meehan played at Western Washington University from 1980-82 and was team captain and an All-Conference selection in 1981. He was a reserve for the Milwaukee Wave of the American Indoor Soccer Association in 1984 and a member of the Team USA AISA tour that same year.
Paul and his wife, Pam, have three children: Zane (12), Zoe (11) and Zuri (8).
