The Marshall men's soccer team opened its 2012 season on Friday night with a 2-0 win over Wright State.
Thomas Olivier begins his eighth season with the Thundering Herd men's soccer team as the team’s top assistant.
The Bonsecours, France, native brings extensive coaching experience to Huntington. Before moving to West Virginia in June of 2006, Olivier spent eight years in Ann Arbor, Michigan, working full-time for the Ann Arbor Arsenal youth club as a coach and as the Director of Coaching for his last four years at the club. He is currently the Assistant Director of Coaching for West Virginia Soccer Association and the Youth Academy Director for West Virginia Futbol Club. He is a member of the WVSA Coaching Education staff as well as the WVSA ODP coaching staff.
He holds the NSCAA Premier Diploma - US Soccer "B" License, and is also a member of the US Youth Soccer Region 1 ODP coaching staff. Olivier is primarily involved with recruiting and the day-to-day training of the men's soccer team.
Olivier lives in Barboursville with his wife Venessa and their three boys Cody (12), and twins Eli and Aaron (9).
