The Marshall men's soccer team opened its 2012 season on Friday night with a 2-0 win over Wright State.

2011 (Redshirt): Hunter redshirted for the 2011 season and did not appear in any games... C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2010 (Sophomore): Games Played/Started: 18/13... Tallied one assist against FIU... Had one assist against Winthrop... Finished the season with two assists.

2009 (Freshman): Played in all 19 games, starting 13 of them at outside midfield... Started eight of the 10 C-USA games...Scored his only goal in a 4-1 route of SMU at home... Connected on his penalty kick attempt against UAB in C-USA semifinal shootout victory.

Prior to Marshall: A member of the George Walton Class-AAAAA state championship team in 2006 and 2008... Semi-finalists in 2007 and 2009... All classification 1st team all-county in 2009... Played multiple years for the Georgia ODP pool and the Super-Y PDP teams... Member of the Clemson Super Senior Elite All-Star team in 2006 and 2007... Selected to participate in an all-star camp in Brazil in the summer of 2007... Finished third nationally in the 4x400m relay at the 2003 Junior Olympics... A member of National Society of High School Scholars.

Personal: Son of David and Marsha Hunter... Older brother Corey (21), runs XC and Track & Field for the University of Georgia... Plans to major in pre-med and minor in biological science.
