Marshall Men's Soccer Drops 3-0 Decision to #20 Tulsa|

TULSA, Okla. - The 20th ranked team in the nation, Tulsa defeated Marshall Saturday in men's soccer action 3-0 in Tulsa, Okla.
The Thundering Herd (0-10-1, 0-3) and the Golden Hurricane (8-3-1, 4-0) went into the intermission knotted at zero before Tulsa took a 1-0 lead in the second minute of the second half when Austin Neil scored on a header 18-yards out.
The Golden Hurricane would extend the lead in the 67th minute when Jose Parada punched in the ball 16 yards out. Tulsa would score its last goal with just under eight minutes to play when Neil netted his second goal of the evening.
Marshall senior goalkeeper Greg Walter (Slippery Rock, Pa.) had six saves in 90 minutes of play Saturday. His counterpart Tyrel Lacey finished with just four saves.
Senior Jira Cooley (Seattle, Wash.) led the Herd with four shots, three of which were on goal.
Marshall will return home Wednesday Oct. 15 for a C-USA match-up against Florida International. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be available on WMUL 88.1 FM and at http://www.marshall.edu/wmul.
