Herd Men’s Soccer Announces 2018 ID Camps
Marshall to hold Elite ID Camps in February, April and June
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men’s soccer head coach Chris Grassie announced the 2018 Elite ID Camp dates for 2018 on Wednesday. The Thundering Herd will host Elite ID Camps on Sunday Feb. 25, Saturday April 14 and Friday June 15.
The camps are open to all high school aged and older, male soccer players looking to showcase their talents directly in front of the Herd’s coaching staff.
“Our Elite ID Camps are an integral part of our recruiting process,” coach Grassie said. “It’s impossible to see every player on the road, so our camps can act as a great opportunity for us to see players we haven’t see yet.”
The spring ID camp on April 14 will be in two sessions. The first is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second is 5-7 p.m. In between the two sessions, Marshall will play an exhibition match against West Virginia at 3 p.m. as a showcase.
Camps will be held at the Veterans Memorial Soccer Complex. The winter and summer camps (Feb. 25 and June 15) will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“It’s also extremely beneficial for our prospects to come into our environment and to work with us directly on the pitch and in our facilities,” coach Grassie said. “Those relationships are incredibly important as we look to continue to build and shape our program culture. We encourage all interested players to attend one or more of our upcoming spring slate of ID Camps.”
The cost of the camp is $125 per player. Players interested in attending can fill out an online registration form found on the Marshall Soccer Camps Page. For more information, please contact assistant coach Alex Fatovic by email email@example.com, or by calling 304-696-2594.
