Men's Soccer Signs One More

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - Marshall University men's soccer coach Bob Gray announced that Luton, England, standout Rian MacDonald is the latest player to sign with the Thundering Herd.

MacDonald's brother, Michael, is also a member of the team.

Rian currently plays for Ampthill Town F.C. where he leads the team in scoring. The team recently tied for their division championship.

MacDonald's previous club, Sacred Heart, was undefeated for three years. Over that span, they won three County Cups, three League Championships and three League Cups. He won player of the year honors once in that time.

"We are excited to sign a player of Rian's ability," Coach Bob Gray said. "He is an all round player who can play almost any position we need him to. He will be a valuable asset to our program."

The team will host two home games on Saturday. The first taking place at 1 p.m. against the University of Charleston and at 6:30 p.m. against Salem International.
