HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall men’s soccer team will conclude exhibition play Saturday, Aug. 20, against Radford. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at The Vet.
Saturday’s match will give another opportunity for the Marshall coaching staff to evaluate the players before the regular season.
Senior Daniel Jodah (Mississauga, Ontario) was the second leading scorer this past season with 10 points. Other leading returners include seniors Trevor Starcher (Hurricane, W.Va.), Tommy Trupo (Scott Depot, W.Va.), junior Christian Kershaw (Severna Park, Md.) and sophomore Chris Taibi (Wantagh, N.Y.).
Marshall welcomes 13 newcomers to the squad for the 2016 season.
The Herd will begin the regular season with two home matches against Western Michigan (Aug. 26) and Detroit (Aug. 28).
In 2015, Radford finished 14-4-2 and lost in the semifinals of the Big South Tournament 4-3 to High Point. The Highlanders received a bid to the NCAA Tournament and were edged out 2-1 by Charlotte. Radford played to a 1-1 draw against Division II preseason No. 2, Charleston (W.Va.).
