Jackson Named Second Team All-Midwest

IRVING, Texas- Junior forward Tom Jackson of the Marshall University men’s soccer team received Second Team NSCAA All-Midwest honors this past Friday to stand as the Thundering Herd’s lone representative on the team following the conclusion of the recent 2011 season.

The Dunedin, New Zealand, native accounted for 10 of the Herd’s 26 goals this past year, and led the team in that category for the second time in his illustrious Marshall career. Jackson also provided two assists on the season to lead the squad with a total of 22 points, and scored hattricks in consecutive home games against Winthrop and Memphis back in October.

Also a 2011 Second Team All-Conference USA performer and 2010 Third Team member, Jackson can now add the Second Team NSCAA All-Midwest honor to his collection.
