Women's Basketball to Host Elite Skills Session

Skills camp set for August 9

Mahan joins the Thundering Herd as a graduate assistant after serving as the head student manager for the Clemson University women's basketball program from 2010-13. His responsibilities include statistical analysis, overseeing student managers and monitoring student-athletes' academic progress.

As head manager at Clemson, his duties included coordinating travel logistics, delegating responsibilities for game day preparation and organizing and distributing team equipment. Mahan also assisted during practice and oversaw weekly and daily managerial duties of three other student managers.

During his time with the Tigers, Mahan also served as webmaster. He managed and updated the team website,, as well as corresponding blogs. He organized a new website layout for the Tigers, complete with new stories and a fresh design.

Mahan also supervised the Clemson women's basketball summer camp in 2011 and 2012, where he managed all aspects of gym operations, prepared courts for campers and addressed concerns regarding camp rules. He coached teams of 8-10 and coordinated drills during camp sessions.

The Shrewsbury, Mass., native graduated from Clemson with a degree in mathematical sciences (focus in statistics) in May 2013.
