Women's basketball responds to six-point halftime deficit

2004-06 (Labette):
Named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) First Team All-American in 2006 while at Labette C.C....the No. 2-ranked point guard in junior college women's basketball by the All-Star Girls Report...ranked fourth nationally in scoring in 2005-06 with 23.5 points per game...led the Lady Cardinals to a school-record 29 wins and their second ever appearance in the Region 6 Semifinals...the 2006 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Eastern Division MVP...two-time all-conference and all-region first team selection...KJCCC Freshman of the Year in 2005...her 3.8 steals per game ranked 15th in the NJCAA to go along with 5.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest...converted 40.9 percent of field goal attempts and averaged 2.8 3-pointers per game...scored a career-high 36 points in a game, the second highest total in the KJCCC in 2005-06...recruited out of Labette by Oklahoma State, South Florida and Fresno State.

Attended Detroit's Northern HS as a freshman and Oak Park HS her sophomore through senior years...averaged 16.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 2.5 steals per game in prep career...named Oakland Activities Association (OAA) DI Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore...Oak Park team MVP, All-OAA Second Team, All-District Team, All-State Honorable Mention, team offensive and defensive POY as a junior...OAA Conference MVP, All-District Dream Team, all-state second team, team offensive and defensive POY and Oak Park Athlete of the Year as a senior.
