In first season with the Herd, Smiley brought intense speed and agility to add athleticism to an already potent lineup...inserted into the starting lineup for the West Virginia game on Jan. 11 and reached double-digits in points (17) for the first time of her career in leading MU to its first win over the Mountaineers in three years, a win that sparked the Herd to its 12-game win streak...remained a starter during the win streak and averaged 10.5 points in 21.5 minutes per game over that span...overall, Smiley scored 7.0 ppg (7th on team) and upped average to 8.8 ppg in MAC games...scored a career- and game-high 19 points with three steals in one-point win over Ohio on Jan. 18, with 13 first-half points...second on team in 3-pointers made/attempted (29/102)...tied for the team season-high in 3FG attempts with 10, hitting three, at Miami on Feb. 5 in snapping a 15-game losing streak to the RedHawks...went 6-for-10 from the floor, including 2-for-4 from downtown, for 16 points in win over Central Michigan on Feb. 26...missed the Feb. 19 Buffalo game due to wisdom teeth removal...got first two career starts at the UCF Christmas Classic versus Fla. International and Colgate...went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc against the Raiders on Dec. 19, a performance that sparked 10 straight games with at least one trey...after being held scoreless in three minutes versus Lehigh in the season's second game, Smiley scored in every game thereafter...hit 76.6 percent of her free throw attempts.

National Junior College Athletic Association Kodak All-American in 2001-02...averaged 12.3 points, 4.0 steals, 2.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in two years at Central Arizona...led team to a 31-4 record in 2002-03, including an Arizona Community College Athletic Conference championship and its first regional title since 2001...team went 26-6 in her first season (2001-02) at CACC, with a second-place finish at regionals...coached by Lin L.
