Final Stats 
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall wrapped up its preseason exhibition schedule with a 67-50 win over Kentucky State on Sunday in the Cam Henderson Center.
The Thundering Herd went undefeated in the two exhibitions played, defeating Concord 84-71 on Friday.
"That was a little bit better," head coach Matt Daniel said. "That was a little bit more what we expect - what we hope for. We still have a long, long way to go and they'll be the first ones to tell you that."
Guard Jasmine Shaw earned a team-high 18 points against the Thorobreds, while adding three assists and three steals. She was perfect from the free throw line (3-3) and finished 6-for-13 from the field.
Fellow guard Shay Weaver followed with 11 points and four assists. She tied Shaw with a team-high three 3-pointers and finished 4-for-8 from the field.
Suporia Dickens led the Herd on the boards, earning nine rebounds. She was also a force in the defensive court, booking two blocked shots and two steals.
As a team, Marshall posted 10 steals, compared to Kentucky State's five.
The Herd finished the game 23-of-56 from the field for a 41 percent average and posted a 39 percent average from behind the arch, making 7-of-18 three pointers.
Kentucky State was led by Jasmine Davis and Styler Harper, who had 14 and 13 points, respectively. The Thorobreds were strong on the boards, out-rebounding Marshall 39-35.
Kentucky State was extremely accurate from the free throw line, finishing 13-of-14 for a 92.9 percent average.
Marshall will open its season up against Radford on November 9 at noon in the Cam Henderson Center.
