Marshall Set to Play UAB on Sunday|

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall women’s basketball stays at home for its next match-up against UAB. The Herd will host the Blazers on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The Herd enter the contest with a 13-8 (4-4 C-USA) record after defeating Rice 65-47 on Thursday to break a five game losing streak. Four players scored in double-digits for the Herd during the game.
Senior guard Alaya Mitchell scored a career-high 16 points, while Erica Woods earned her second career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Shay Weaver also added 13 points and Rashedah Henriques scored 10 points.
Marshall will be going against the No. 3 ranked defense in the nation as UAB is currently limiting opponents to just 48.8 points per game.
UAB (15-5, 6-2 C-USA) is on a two-game winning streak after defeating Southern Miss and Tulsa last week. The Blazers come into the game with a plus-8.3 scoring margin and have three players averaging double-digit points for the season.
Karisma Chapman leads UAB with 14.2 points per game and has 50 steals for the year. Amber Jones is averaging 13.9 points per game, while LaShaunda Pratt is second in Conference USA with 42 made three-pointers.
