Huntington, W. Va.--The Marshall women?s basketball team looks to end a two-game skid when it travels west to take on geographical rival Morehead State. The Thundering Herd enter Wednesday?s contest with a 2-2 record, while the Lady Eagles are an undefeated 3-0.

Marshall has dropped their last two games after winning the Fifth Third Bank MU Classic in the season-opening weekend. Wake Forest handed the Thundering Herd a 67-56 loss on November 26th, while Eastern Kentucky did the trick on MU on December 1st, 95-73. In the EKU game, the Herd could not overcome a 16-3 spurt by the visiting Lady Colonels to start the second half. Cassie Hackworth leads the Thundering Herd in scoring, averaging 13.5 points per game, while senior Amy Reed averages ten points and a conference-leading 3.75 blocks per game.

Morehead State is coming off a 96-86 win over the Herd?s MAC-rival Ohio. The Lady Eagles? Travece Turner led MSU against the Bobcats with 26 points. This is the second-straight season Morehead has started 3-0.

Tip-time is slated for 7 p.m., with the game being broadcasted live on Marshall?s campus radio station, WMUL-FM 88.1.
