Matt Zedrick joined the Marshall women's golf in 2012 as a graduate assistant coach.
Zedrick comes to Huntington via Dayton,Ohio, where he served as the head coach of the First Tee of Greater Miami Valley. While with the first tee, the Illinois native was responsible for developing lesson plans and teaching the program's nine core values.
In addition to working with the First Tee in Dayton, he also served as a tournament associate for the Miami Valley Golf Association. His responsibilities included tournament operations, but not limited to course set-up, event scoring, volunteer management and staff assistance. He also was in charge of the association's online scoring and awards program.
Zedrick also has assisted at a variety of golf courses across the state of Illinois and has a background in strength and conditioning, which includes internships at Northern Illinois and Illinois State.
His golf experience and accomplishments includes a win in the 2012 Harrison Park Open, second place in the 2012 Dayton City Stroke Play Championship, second at the Indiana PGA Pro-Am and seventh during the 2011 Indiana PGA Southern Open.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree Exercise Science from Illinois State in 2010. Zedrick is a native of Danville, Ill.
