Herd Completes Day 2 at Kiawah Island Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.-The Marshall women's golf team completed is second day of competition at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate on Monday.
Like Sunday, Korakot Simsiriwong led the Herd with a 6-over round of 78, rebounding with three birdies on the back nine. She currently sits in a tie for 16th with a two-day score of 151 (+7).
Rachel Thompson also had a strong back nine (four shots better) and finished with a round of 82 for a two-day total of 161 (T-88th). Maria Battaglia put up a round of 85 Monday to give her a total of 176, tying her with the Herd's Caitlyn Morrone, who fired a 91, with a birdie on the par-5 11th hole. Both are tied for 155th.
Kristyn Morrone rounded out the team with a 100 today to put her 172nd with a two-day total of 197.
In the team competition, Marshall currently stands 28th with an 88-over total of 664.
The final day of competition begins Tuesday morning.
