Marshall Sits in 15th after Round Two
Korakot Simsiriwong improved five strokes from round one

DALLAS, Texas – Despite shooting eight strokes better than round one, Marshall women’s golf still sits in 15th after day two of the SMU/Dallas Athletic Club Invitational. As a team, the Thundering Herd shot a 334 in the second round.
Rachel Thompson and Korakot Simsiriwong both are tied for 41st individually and post a 161 after two rounds. Thompson shaved a stroke off of day one’s performance, shooting an 80 in the second round, while Simsiriwong took off five strokes from round one, shooting a 78.
Oklahoma State still claims the top spot after shooting a 295 on day two, shaving off 10 strokes from the first round. Oklahoma State’s Julie Yang is the individual leader and is eight strokes ahead of the second place spot. She is the only player shooting under par, tallying a 68 on day two to have a negative-6 for the tournament.
The final round of the invitational will start at 9:30 a.m. ET tomorrow on the Dallas Athletic Club golf course.
