Women's Golf Earns Finish at Sixth after First Round of C-USA Championship

Round One Results

FORT MYERS, Fla. –
The Marshall women’s golf team finished round one of the C-USA Championship at sixth on Monday, April 17, at the Verandah Club. The Herd finished the day with a 16-over-par 304.

Sophomore Sarfina Seretharan and junior Leigha Holt led the way for Marshall with each scoring a 3-over 75. The 75 put the duo in a tie for 16th.

ON THE LEADERBOARD
Old Dominion leads last year’s champions Middle Tennessee by three strokes with a 289. Individually, Jenna Burris of Middle Tennessee has a one-stroke lead over Old Dominion’s Maggie Simmermacher. Burris finished with a 5-under 67 after the first round.
