GULF SHORES, Ala. - Molly Ginger tied for seventh overall, shooting a 74 as the Marshall women's golf team completed day one of the UAB Beach Bash in 13th position.

Following Ginger was Larie Lynch, who finished day one with a round of 77, tied for 19th. Whitney Wolejko and Rachel Halloran each had an 88 in round one, tied for 66th overall. Marshall finished the round with a combined score of 327.

Conference USA foe East Carolina is in first place with a round of 291, six strokes ahead of Louisiana-Monroe. Three ECU golfers, Amber Littman, Abby Bools and Emilie Lind finished day one in the top five overall, shooting rounds of 70, 72 and 73, respectively.

The teams will play one more round, starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

This will mark the final action for the Herd until the weekend of March 9 when the team heads to Pinehurst, N.C. for the Pinehurst Challenge.
