Herd Women’s Golf to Hit the Links for River Landing Classic
36 holes will be played on Monday
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall women’s golf returns to action on Monday and Tuesday at the River Landing Classic in Wallace, N.C. Hosted by North Carolina-Wilmington and East Carolina, the 10-team tournament will be contested on the par 72, 6,082-yard River Course at River Landing.
The Herd will be one of 14 schools competing with two rounds being played on Monday followed by a final round on Tuesday. The tournament hosts are North Carolina-Wilmington and East Carolina.
Sophomore Shelby Brauckmuller and freshman Kerri Parks were the top finishers for the Herd with scores of 13-over 229 for a tie for 79th place at the Edwin Watts Classic. Both Brauckmuller and Parks had two birdies in the final round. Finishing right behind the duo was junior Ylva Forslund, who finished in a tie for 87th place after posting a score of 14-over 230. Marshall finished in 20th place.
Up next, the Herd travels to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., to compete in the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate on March 18-20.
