Women's Golf Travel for the Winthrop Intercollegiate

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-The Marshall University women’s golf team travels to Rock Hill, S.C. for the Winthrop Intercollegiate on Monday, March 15 and Tuesday, March 16. 

 

Two rounds of action (36-holes) will take place on Monday, followed by one round (18-holes) on Tuesday.  Play will begin each day with shotgun starts 9:30 a.m.

 

The tournament field consists of 12 teams; Belmont Abbey, Findlay, Garner Webb, High Point, Marshall, Presbyterian, Princeton, St. Francis, USC Upstate, Wisconsin Green Bay, Xavier and tournament host Winthrop. 

 

The Thundering Herd line-up is compiled of Larie Lynch (Huntington, W.Va.), Andrea Grier (Hagerstown, Md.), Molly Ginger (Centerville, Ohio), Elin Andersson (Stockholm, Sweden) and Michelle Sabo (Columbus, Ohio).  Andersson and Sabo will each be competing in there first rounds of the spring season.


 

 

 

The Herd competed in the USA Lady Jaguar Invitational its last time out, finishing in 13th place.  MU was led by the play of Andrea Grier, as she earned her fifth career top-10 finish, tying for eighth place.
