Lynch Earns Conference USA All-Academic Honors

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall University’s Larie Lynch (Huntington, W.Va.) earned her second consecutive Conference USA Women’s Golf All-Academic Team award.  Lynch is one of six student-athletes to be named to the team, announced by the league office on Friday. 

Lynch continues to be successful in the classroom as well as on the course, posting a 3.85 GPA as a marketing major and receiving two CUSA Female Golfer of the Week honors this season. 

In the fall Lynch tied Tammie Green’s 1981 individual season scoring average low of 76.7 and currently averages a 77.7 for the 2009-10 season. 

Lynch tallied her second Lady Herd tournament medal, capturing a first place victory at the Lady Herd Spring Classic in late March.  This season she has recorded three top-ten finishes, including a third place finish at the Lady Bison Fall Classic and an eighth place finish at the UAB Blazer Fall Beach Blast. 

Lynch will conclude her Marshall career in Hattiesburg, Miss., at the CUSA Championship tournament on April 18th through April 20th.
