Burkhammer Completes Signing Class for 2017-18 Season
Kerri Parks and Stormy Randazzo will be immediately eligible for the 2017-18 season
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Second-year women’s golf coach Brooke Burkhammer has completed her first recruiting class at Marshall with the signings of Kerri Parks (Flushing, Mich.) and Stormy Randazzo (Rowlett, Texas), she announced on Monday.
“I’m glad we will be adding two student-athletes to our roster,” Burkhammer said. “They will help us tremendously, because our goal is to grow the program and get better every day. We need to be able to compete and want to be a competitive team. They are both solid players and can’t wait to get them here in August, so we can get things started.”
Parks, a 5-4 right-handed golfer of Flushing High School, helped her team become a three-time all-metro team from 2014-16, placed at regionals in two consecutive years from 2015-16, earned three top-10 finishes at the state finals from 2014-16, including a best finish of third in 2016 and win the Saginaw Valley League. Individually, she was a 2015 Flint Junior Golf Association champion, a 2016 GAM Girls Junior Amateur Match Play champion, a 2016 Callaway Junior Tour champion and a 2016 Golf Association of Michigan runner up at Honor Point. She enters Marshall with a 3.985 GPA and plans on being a pharmacy major.
Rondazzo, a 5-9 righty of Rowlett High School, is a three-time District Champion, a four-time member of the All-District team and was named the Women’s Golfer of the Year for three consecutive years. Nationally, she was also a member of the USA Junior National Team and the Callaway Junior Elite Team. She enters Marshall with a 3.1 GPA and plans to be a broadcast journalism major.
