    ANN ARBOR, Mich.-The Marshall women's golf team had their highest finish of the fall season Sunday, placing sixth at the 2003 Wolverine Invitational, hosted by the University of Michigan. The host Wolverines took home the team title with a three-round team score of 943.

    Marshall was led by freshman Allyson Hatcher (Wheeling, W.Va.), who placed 14th overall and had a three-round total of 248 (87-80-81). Sheena Caron (Bolt, W.Va.) was next for Marshall with a 252 (87-82-83), good enough for a tie for 20th place.

    Sophomore Carling Dickey (New Castle, Ind.) came in at 39th with a score of 263 (89-89-85), while two freshmen, Amber Churchill (Dublin, Ohio) and Stacy Wagner (Harmony, Pa.) rounded out the scoring for the Thundering Herd. Churchill finished with a 267 (41st, 86-84-97), while Wagner ended the tournament scoring a 278 (47th, 98-90-90).

    Marshall is back in action next weekend at the Eastern Kentucky University Invitational in Richmond, Ky.
