Parkhurst Receives C-USA All-Academic Honors

Parkhurst becomes the fifth player in program history to receive the honor twice

2016 (SENIOR): Named to the Conference USA All-Academic team … after recovering from several knee injuries sustained in her freshman and sophomore years of college Jordan Parkhurst became a steady presence and major contributor in the Thundering Herd lineup … since recovering from her injuries she went on to play in 40 matches, starting in 24 of them, collected 40 shots and has scored three goals … scored the game-tying goal and her lone goal of the season vs. Charlotte (Oct. 28) … one of the team leaders in shots (15) … contributed to Marshall’s first win and shutout in the 1-0 victory at Longwood (Aug. 26) … helped shutout ETSU (Sept. 4) to give the Herd its second win of the season … played a role in Marshall 1-0 shutout over UAB (Oct. 7) … a contributor in the Herd’s 1-0 shutout victory over UTEP (Oct. 20) ... named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll ... earned the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
