HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The first annual Thundering Herd 3v3 Soccer Tournament hosted by Marshall women’s soccer will be held July 19-20, 2014, at Veterans Memorial Soccer Complex, coach Kevin Long announced Thursday.

Over two days, the Herd will welcome up to 160 teams as they compete for the coveted Golden Bison – the cup earned by the tournament champions. Each team will play a round robin schedule against other teams in its age bracket for seeding rights in Stage 2, the single-elimination road to the championship. Each team is guaranteed five 12-minute games. Registration is open to U9-U17 boys and girls, and costs $120 per team (maximum of six players). Entry packets will be sent via email once registration is received.

In addition to competition, participants can expect fun activities off the field, T-shirts, snack bars and most importantly, an opportunity to grow the love of soccer through the game of 3v3.
