Herd Women’s Soccer to Close Out Season at WKU

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Marshall women’s soccer team is set to conclude its 2017 season when it travels to Bowling Green, Ky., to take on the WKU Hilltoppers on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. at the WKU Soccer Complex.

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
The Lady Toppers come into Friday's match on a three-match winning streak, outscoring their opponents 6-1 over that same stretch. In their most recent outing, WKU went on the road and defeated UTSA, 3-1, behind goals from Aleksandra Kozovic, Hannah Cady and Chandler Backes last Thursday evening.

Defensively, the Lady Toppers have surrendered only one goal over their last 342 minutes played dating back to Oct. 6 against Middle Tennessee.

LAST TIME AGAINST WKU
Marshall lost its Conference USA opener, conceding a goal in the 82nd minute in a 1-0 loss to WKU Thursday night at Hoops Family Field.

Goalkeeper Emily Moreland made three saves in the loss for the Herd. Ashley Seltzer recorded the lone shot on goal for Marshall.
