Arnold Earns NSCAA All-Region Honors

Nov. 29, 2016

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior Sydney Arnold earned a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division I All-Central Region team, announced Tuesday.

Arnold is first player in Herd history to earn the honor twice since Amanda McMahon (2000-01) did so. The senior landed on the second team.

This marks yet another award the Stafford, Va., native has earned this season, having previously earned a spot on the Conference USA first team.

Arnold finished her Thundering Herd career with 18 goals, 17 assists, 51 points, six game-winning goals, 76 matches started, 77 matches played and over 4,900 minutes. In 2015, she became the first ever Marshall player to earn two C-USA Player of the Week honors in the same season, all while leading the team in career-highs of 23 points, nine goals and five assists.

Marshall finished the 2016 season with a 6-7-4 overall record and went 4-4-2 in C-USA play.
